May have blocked me from a cold
I bought these supplements on a whim the other day so I could get free shipping haha. Day after they arrive, I start to come down fast with a cold! The dosage is a bit high so I did 3 the first day to see how my tummy would react, then 9 the next day. Could have been the supplements + my immune system but I woke up the next day feeling normal! Thanks to my subconscious for getting a supplement that possibly curved away a cold. I thinks these are a great supplement to take every other few days to help keep the immune system strong – especially if you work around others.

Formula changed
I have used this product for years and the Amazon version is a different formula. It is now a capsule and instead of a solid pill. The solid said take 3 at sign of imbalance and this one says take 6. Due to it being in a capsule form, it breaks down differently so make sure you do not burp after taking them as the taste is awful that comes back up.

Pretty sure it works
For the past 4 years around the end of January and into February I would catch the latest variant of flu, cold, sniffles, chest cold or whatever happened to be floating by my terrible immune system. It seemed like it would start as allergies and then a virus would find me and send me off the edge. I would usually be home with a fever and feeling like death for 2 to 4 weeks. I tried Airborne and the like last year but it didn’t do any good.This year my doctor told me about Wellness Formula and said when his kids come home from college they ask for money, food, and Wellness Formula. I decided to give it a shot and so far this year I haven’t gotten sick (It’s early March). I started taking 1 pill 2 times a day in September and when Mid January rolled around I started to feel like I was getting sick so i followed the directions and took 6 in the AM and 6 in the PM for about 2 weeks. I never got sick but had a mild runny nose during that period.To be fair and scientific I also have been taking quercetin as well because my doctor said about 80% of the people he prescribes it to don’t get allergies or it reduces their allergy symptoms drastically. This may or may not be helping, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.Regardless, I’ve set up an Amazon Subscription for this stuff because it’s worked so well. I recommend it.

Been using for years. Sent son to college with them as a student and athlete. Called home for more when tried to keep his pace without them. They are almost everything our bodies need to stay healthy in an unhealthy world. Thanks Amazon for carrying these. I am in an area I can not get them.

So Clutch, the Actual Best Ever
I have been buying these for years now and it is legitimately amazing how well they can work. I take them now periodically for maintenance (I already got the flu this year and it came on within 3 hours of contact coupled with access or opportunity to take any of the Wellness capsules) and if I feel like my liver needs some help.Early this year a couple friends came to visit my sister and I and all 3 of them either came with the beginning so of a cold or picked up the flu within a few days. I was taking the max dosage of the capsules mentioned on the bottle and staved off an illness at all though I consistently spent time with all 3 sickos over the course of almost a week.Now I keep a grande bottle on hand and if I ever feel a tickle in my throat I’ll take 4 to 6 and shirk most communicable illnesses that pass around during holiday and flu season.I’ve gotten a few people hip to game about the pills and now keep a cache with me to hand out to anyone who says they feel off or a little ill. I’ve also been told by others (Physician’s Assistants, Osteopaths, Nurses, etc.) that the ingredients are a big ole whammy of things that will help your body fight sicknesses and boost your immune system.

Seems to have good ingredients listed, but didn’t notice any positive effect. Has a yellowish stain around the inside corner of the pills, not sure if that was normal. So far, I am not impress, will be looking for a better product. I wouldn’t recommend

Oh-so-smelly…but they work!
Yes, the tablets stink to high heaven. Yes, they are ginormous and can be difficult to swallow. But you’ll eventually get used to both those things because it will be well worth the inconvenience. I’ve taken these for the past 4-ish years–first using only for imbalance and now, for the last year or so, daily as a preventative as well. I cannot honestly remember the last time I’ve had even a full blown cold, even when my husband (who works in a school) and child (who attends one, lol) are scattering their gross winter germs everywhere. First sign of a sniffle, achiness, or other cold or flu symptom and I start the ‘imbalance’ schedule. Invariably, and usually within 12-18 hours, I’m feeling completely normal. We have had similar results with the drops for children, although they seem to take a little longer to work, usually a couple of days. Unfortunately, my 11 year old cannot yet swallow even the smaller caplets, let alone the horse-sized tablets. My husband can’t get over the smell, so won’t take them unless he’s truly at wit’s end. I’ve been taking them for so long now that the smell hardly registers with me anymore, but it certainly does take time to get used to it. But totally worth it.

The wonder vitamin
I started using this after I got a slew of sicknesses earlier this year. I was hit with it all– started with a cold, turned into a sinus infection, turned into bronchitis, then another sinus infection! April and May 2011 were consumed with sick for me. A friend of mine told me about Wellness Formula, so I started taking it to hopefully recover faster. (I was willing to try anything!) A serving size is 6 pills. When you see/smell these pills, swallowing 6 of them will appear impossible. I have yet to take 6 all at once. I just started taking one per day for a week, then two per day. I feel it really helped me recover from all my illnesses. Usually takes me a couple weeks to get over a sinus infection. After taking two per week I sprung back to life quicker than I ever have. Now I take one per day as a preventative, and if I feel icky I take two.Here’s some tips: Take each pill with a FULL glass of water and some food. If you don’t do this, expect to burp up a really gross flavor. (Ew.) If you feel the need to take the full dosage, I suggest spacing out the pills throughout the day! Your stomach might feel a bit upset at first, but this pill contains a lot of herbs and vitamins that most of us aren’t used to.Also, since starting to take this pill, I’ve noticed my fingernails are much healthier, they grow like weeds, and never break. (Which is awesome if you’re a girly girl like me! Ha.)Highly recommend!

Wonderful product!
I discovered this several years ago and its an amazing product. I ended up forgetting about it for a couple years and recently stumbled across it again. This stuff is amazing. I take it any time I feel a bit weird and it knocks it out pretty quick. The ingredients list is quite impressive if you take a look at it. You have to take a lot of capsules, but seriously this stuff is worth it. Its more affordable than other similar immune products and contains a hefty lineup of wellness boosting ingredients! I’ve tried many other immune products and none of them work as well as this one. I really hope they never change this formula. Now that I rediscovered it I’m going to make sure I never run out. Flavor isnt great but since its a capsule you dont really notice it anyway, unless you take it on an empty stomach you might burp some of the flavor lol but the benefits of a product that actually works this well outweighs the fact that its not a yummy supplement.

Excellent for Runny Nose for me😀
Lately been suffering from runny nose. Took everything OTC, but nothing helped. Through research, I found these capsules, Wellness, by Source Naturals, and only been taking ONE capsule after breakfast for a few days and, bye, bye sniffles & runny nose. SOURCE NATURAL LABS IS ONE OF THE BEST LABS, you’ll find in USA. Thank you, Source Naturals & thank you AMAZON for another excellent product & price👏👏👏It’s unflavored capsule! People tend to complain way too much about everything. Know your body and do what’s best for it. I.E. my body is sensitive to meds, hence I only take ONE capsule to determine how my body responds. Let’s just say the name is applicable
Let’s be real, they shouldn’t ask for a “flavor” rating. These taste terrible. The olive leaf in them is such a strong smell/taste, it’s literally the reason I pay more for these capsules instead of the tablets. That said if we’re starting to feel poorly, we start taking these and nothing progresses. My son even asked for a bottle to take to college, and he generally avoids medicine when possible. Definitely recommend

Frequent Flyer – not sick for 1.5 years!
I travel about 4 months out of the year, and the only time I ever get sick is while traveling; on planes, in taxis, in crowded public spaces, it’s hard to avoid other people’s germs. I am a huge believer in high quality vitamins, and take a variety regularly depending on my needs. My normal travel vitamins used to include C, zinc, echinacea and goldenseal, and I’d carefully combine the various tablets and pills into one bottle for each trip.When I found this at my local health food store with EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT out of an immune-support and virus-fighting multivitamin, I thought it was probably too good to be true. Well, I have not been sick in a year and a half despite all of the hand-shaking, crowds, and germ-y surfaces so common in public spaces. Before and during a trip, if I am not feeling any symptoms, I take 1-3 capsules per day as a “maintenance” dose. If I feel any cold/sinus/cough/etc. symptoms, I take the recommended 6 capsules. That might sound like a lot, but following their directions really works. I keep one small bottle (the 60 cap size) in my carry-on travel bag and a larger bottle at my office. There is a slight herbal aftertaste, but you can take it with a tea/coffee/juice that hides the flavor rather than water. It doesn’t bother me, but it is noticeable.I usually purchase things like this locally, but the $7 pricetag on Amazon beats the $20 version at my health food store.Cannot recommend this highly enough!UPDATED October 26, 2015: Not sick for almost 2.5 years!UPDATED September 12, 2016: Not sick for a long freakin’ time!

Worth the money!
My husband and I have been taking these for about a year now and are so happy with this product! There are so many homeopathic ingredients in it, that’s what makes it so expensive. If you bought half of these ingredients individually you’d be spending more than you would be on this product. I recommended buying the one with 240 capsules. It’s the most cost effective. I highly recommend this!!

Potent and effective and probably the best product made by Source Naturals. I believe this is the best herbal immune support product on the market. This stuff is truly amazing. Been using it for many years. Anytime I feel like I’m getting sick, this is my go to. I take the suggested 6 capsules every few hours and it either stops the illness or shortens it. Every so often I will take a few capsules for maintenance. It does have a slight garlic taste so I like to take it with juice. Nothing unbearable but they are a lot of pills to swallow and juice helps get them down easier. This is a medicine cabinet staple year round. Highly recommend this amazing supplement!

Made me feel worse. Is this like the herx reaction?
I have had chest congestion and a productive cough and was feeling fine otherwise. I am surrounded by sick people (my kids nonstop coughs), and we have a trip coming up. I bought this on the night I suddenly felt way worse and had chills, body aches, sore throat, run down, post nasal drip, headaches….So based on the high ratings and reviews, I bought on impulse. I must say the next morning after feeling the chills and ordering this, I did seem better except the cough. The chills etc were gone.Finally the next day (today) the bottle came. Bottle was sealed outside and in. It says take 6 caps per day for regular immune support or 6 every 3 hours for immune boost I suppose to knock out being sick. So I did take 6 at once and then I seemed to feel okay but 3 hours passed, I took 5.Now I have sore throat, post nasal drip, feel run down, headaches, body aches, and just awful, but no chills or feeling overwhelmed by being totally sick. More like I feel like my immune system got overstimulated and maybe this could be the Herx reaction when the germs die so quickly they flood the body with toxins and there’s a feeling of feeling worse while actually the body is fighting the infection really hard and intense.Well that’s what I hope is happening. Otherwise I went from feeling congested in my chest and coughing up phlegm all the time to feeling like I’m really awful. But no fever or chills or as bad as that night that motivated me to buy this stuff.I was taking vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements when I got this, so I won’t be taking those while taking this, as that would be too much. But I am on the fence if I should just switch back to my healthy supplementation before this or continue with this….I didn’t expect to feel worse, so I read all the bad reviews and no one mentioned it making them feel worse. In fact, I can’t find anything other than it just being ineffective for some people and great for others.I think I’ll pause on this and see how I feel in the morning. If I still feel bad, I may continue and see if it will knock it out fast. Last time I caught my kids’ cough, I had the same congestion and coughing up phlegm and no other symptoms (feeling otherwise normal) for 3 weeks! And I hoped this formulation would help it end quicker esp in time for our family vacation in a few days.So is it working and producing a Herx reaction? Or am I just coincidentally getting worse the same day as beginning to take this? I only took 11 capsules total today. I’d be due for 6 more, but I’ll pass on that and wait and see.Otherwise I don’t notice any awful smell or stomach issues or heartburn like other reviews mentioned. But those were from 2018-2021 , so I hope things have changed since then.I’ll update my review as I feel this out!

good product, good price
I do not take the suggested dose of 4-6 pills a day as I would be out of pills very quickly. I take 1 pill a day and when I feel myself getting sick, I bump the dose to 2-3 pills. I don’t notice much of a taste though some people did. I was really sick recently and took these halfway through and I don’t know that they did anything because it was a viral infection. However, it feels good to know that they contain a lot of great ingredients that we lack on a daily basis.

Two Different “Wellness Formula” Products: new version with Andrographis instead of Echinacea
On another site (iherb) I discovered that there are 2 different products called Wellness Formula. Although they both say “Herbal Defense Complex,” the newer one is titled “Wellness Formula, With Andrographis and Propolis Extract.” It contains NO echinacea according to the label ingredients displayed. For the other one, it says: “This is the original version of Wellness Formula with Echinacea. For the new version with more Andrographis Extract instead of Echinacea.” When you go to the company site, there is no such information. I gave this 4 stars only because I had to give stars, and I do like the original product, but I assumed echinacea to be a key ingredient. If it is not included in this product, then I don’t know if I want it. It’s too much trouble for me to try to determine whether 175 mg andrographis and no echinacea is as effective for me as 100 mg. andrographis and 360 mg or 270 mg echinacea, so I would rather go with the product I am familiar with. I have written to Source Naturals about the problem, but amazon needs to show the accurate ingredients on its products. There is no way to know whether “Wellness Formula” sold by other sellers on amazon is the same as this one.Update: I just received this explanation from Source Naturals: “Due to the unavailability of raw materials for our Wellness Formula, we sometimes had to make temporary and permanent changes to keep it in stock. We do everything possible to maintain the quality of our Wellness Formula while at the same time continuing to make it available to as many people as possible. Our Research and Development Department puts every effort into ensuring the quality of our Wellness Formula through the changes and strives to keep the formula as close to the original formula listed on the website as possible.”Our Research and Development Department has stated that with the new reformulation of Wellness Formula, it now contains more plant extracts than before which results in higher amounts of beneficial phytochemicals. No ingredients providing benefits to immune functions were reduced in potency by switching from whole plants to extracts.”Regarding the different labels, the reason you may be seeing different supplement information on various retailer websites is because they have not updated to the most current product label. Body maintenance
I’m trying this brand the wellness formula because I tried another brand that didn’t have as much nutrients for the body. The other brand was way more expensive and I didn’t feel it was worth the dollar but I did my research on source naturals and they came in strong so I’ve been using this ever since it has a strong odor, but my daughter says that’s the ginger in Other ingredients that create that smell but no bad taste at all I feel better I don’t know if it’s because of this but you never know. Good luck.

Works
These capsules are terribly smelly, you have to eat them and wash them down with a lot of food, but they really work. I’ve been using them for 10 years

A very good boost to your immune system
Easy to take-no awful taste and it does a great job of keeping my body fighting off all the seasonal bugs that usually kick my b-tt!

Be Careful Taking These
I was unable to experience the full effect of these pills. As another reviewer mentioned, they will make your menstrual cycle start early. Stopped taking them. Giving a three because they seem to help a lot of others, not sure why this wacky side effect occurs.

Great for immune support during cold + flu season!
I swear by these during “sick season” and all year round – they really do help! The capsules are easier to swallow than the tablets (you do need to take 4-6 per serving, as instructed, to get the health benefits) and there is a slight herbal taste that lingers, but nothing too intense. These are typically ~$10 cheaper than they are if you buy in-store at Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc.

Getting too expensive
Bought these in September, it’s now Jan 2nd and I was planning to buy more but the price has risen almost 70% since then. This is a great product but no longer at a fair price. I’ll pass for now.

Not an immune system boost for a teacher.
As a teacher working in a cramped classroom with poor ventilation, I get sick fairly regularly and do everything I can to avoid taking off. Taking Wellness Formula has not prevented or eased the impact of the many viral infections I come down with at school; in fact, I have missed more days of school over the past four months (three days, when I usually miss zero or one) than ever before in my life while taking this supplement. Here are the facts: it has never been clinically studied, it is not from a USP- or NSF-certified manufacturing facility, and, the “18-Time Immune Support Winner” claim on the bottle is not based on any scientific/responsible testing, but rather on a poll of a “random sampling of retailers” by Vitamin Retailer magazine. In my personal experience, the fact is that my feelings of unwellness actually increased while taking the supplement; while I do not mean to suggest any causation here, the manufacturer’s claims certainly did not hold water.

Strengthens the immune system
This was recommended on a blog I follow. I can’t swallow pills so I had to open the capsules up. The taste was absolutely awful so I recommend mixing them in a flavored drink. But I do believe they helped make me feel better. They definitely gave me energy when I was feeling run down.

I staple in my medicine cabinet
I have been ordering this product for several years because it works! When you start feeling off, just take one with a lot of water. If you don’t drink enough water, you won’t feel the benefits as quickly. It is strong. It’s also a great source for multiple vitamins.
