I waited until I finished the first tube to write my review. I am super picky about whitening toothpaste, have only found a couple I thought were effective. This is the first toothpaste I was excited enough to write a review on ever.I had discoloration around my gum on some teeth, driving me crazy. This toothpaste is wonderful, is the very best I’ve found at removing it. I will continue to buy it, try it!

If you’re reading this you’re probably like me and try the latest toothpaste to protect your teeth and keep down your dental bills. I actually found this okay except that it is a little goopy, tastes a little funny, and yet I used it for a while before going to the dentist.I gleefully told him that I was using it thinking he would be happy and he would see better results on my teeth, but either he was having a bad day or just didn’t care because he didn’t have much to say about it other than make sure it has fluoride.

I’m a GenXer who still has a lower permanent retainer along my bottom teeth. It is very difficult to keep the plague build up there under control and I dreaded going to the dentist for my cleanings because the amount of scraping along the metal bar was really horrible. I floss and brush often and have good oral hygiene but I have “good saliva production” which means when I sleep it is causing build up. I decided to try this because it said it was specifically for plaque build up. I cannot even believe the difference and neither can the dental hygienest. I barely have any build up at all now between cleanings along the bar and my other teeth are also WAY cleaner. I am so happy that I found this product because I was considering having the bar removed because of the plaque. But my older brother did that and all his teeth shifted within a few months. This has resolved the issue and all of my teeth are so much cleaner. It leaves them feeling squeaky clean like how I feel when I leave the dentists office– only every day and night after brushing. I love this toothpaste!!!

I think that the toothpaste does a good job cleaning any plaque that isn’t extremely solid on the teeth, but as we know the hardened calculus/tartar needs to be attacked by a Hygienist or Dentist. This works well and the teeth feel extra clean for long periods of time. It could taste a little more exciting, but I suppose it doesn’t matter much as long as it’s not a nasty taste.

My mouth’s natural chemistry has a tendency to produce plaque. It’s a problem — and my dental hygienist normally has to spend considerable time scraping plaque off my teeth during my visits to the dentist’s office. But since I’ve started using Colgate Total Plaque Pro Release toothpaste, I haven’t had near as much plaque for her to have to get rid of. I highly recommend this toothpaste — it really does make a difference.

This is like the BEST toothpaste I have ever used. It doesn’t have an overbearing mint taste that makes me gag, and my teeth have never looked whiter. This is the answer to my oral health problems. My teeth and mouth have honestly never felt cleaner nor looked whiter. I love this stuff. Please keep making the toothpaste like this, don’t ever change the formula Colgate! You got yourself a keeper here. I will continue to order this toothpaste as long as the formula remains the same and the mint flavor is kept out! I hate hate HATE mint flavored toothpaste because it makes brushing my teeth a terrible ordeal, but with this one, I actually enjoy brushing my teeth and look forward to it.I’m editing to add that it does a have a mint flavor, but it’s very slight that it doesn’t overpower. I should have been more specific in my first review, but yes, this is good stuff regardless.

Seems every time I purchase Colgate toothpaste they change the formula and in new packaging. This is a great toothpaste and and seems to take care of tartar if you stay on top of it. Teeth feel clean and polished. I like the flavor of the last version better (deep clean or something like that) but is good nonetheless. No doubt Plaque Pro will morph into something else in a few months.After 4 mo. use I can honestly say I have less calculus buildup on the backs of my bottom front teeth. The slow buildup between cleanings gets so severe I lose definition of tooth separation (feeling with my tongue). Seems my mouth chemistry causes plaque to quickly harden into calculus. Fronts and backs of teeth feel great after using Pro Release – like no other toothpaste used! Used with Sonicare brush and Hayden expanding floss.

Great toothpaste. I’m not sure why, but my teeth certainly feel cleaner for longer throughout the day when I use this.No cause of sensitivity (but I also use another densifying paste). Nice mint flavor, but it does burn my tongue (like a burn of alcohol mouthwash, but not SO much). The texture is not gritty like, but very smooth.I loveee the way it looks and feels with the clear cap, HOWEVER, that is also the only downside for me. It’s not a flip cap like every other one I’ve ever had. This one is a screw cap, so it’s just slightly annoying to have to do that to use & seal it each time. Well, I’ve had some with the small screw caps, but this one is definitely quite bigger/deeper than those.

I wouldn’t pay for these again. It’s stylish. Elegant. Rich looking. Doesn’t collect dust. I love the glass lid. Looks nice in my bathroom. Super expensive for a tiny amount of product.To be honest, the packaging is so beautiful that you will not want to use the toothpaste anyway. So just go ahead and go buy your regular Colgate toothpaste for a cheaper price because nothing is special about this toothpaste other than the packaging. The packaging is chrome, silver, and clear with futuristic other colors, which gives it an exquisite appearance. If I were you, I would buy this one time just to keep inside the bathroom because it looks so nice as a decoration. I even put one inside my kitchen. I know it sounds weird, but it’s that cute.

This product does leave my teeth cleaner while still providing the same stannous fluoride as the standard total.Especially those of us born before fluoride became common in public water find that old filings and accumulated scratches make it difficult to get teeth entirely clean. This product helps without being too abrasive.

As someone with a long history of complicated dental issues, I’ve become very particular about my dental products. When my hygienist told me that I needed to work at getting plaque away from my guns, I looked for a product to help with that and found this toothpaste. I’ve always liked Colgate, but this is an especially excellent toothpaste. It works very well, cleaning my teeth and gums thoroughly and leaving my whole mouth feeling great for hours, even after having my morning coffee.The mint flavor is strong but not overwhelming and fades in a reasonable amount of time. I would not eat or drink immediately after brushing, but you only need to wait a few minutes, not ages. The texture of the paste is smooth on the brush and friths with brushing to a solid foam that covers everything you want to clean. My teeth felt CLEAN the first time I used it and after regular use my mouth definitely feels cleaner than before, even after a night of sleeping open mouthed (thanks, allergies). My teeth are whiter, too.It’s worth taking the time to find the toothpaste that works best for you. If you are also concerned about plaque and keeping your gums healthy, I definitely recommend this toothpaste!

I am one of the unfortunate souls who needs this product. Not because of the product use, I am thankful to have this product. No, it’s because of the suffering which I have had to endure every 6 months to get this crud uncomfortably removed from my teeth. Now first I have to tell you that the instructions say to use a one inch strip which I did but the flavor was very hard to tolerate. So I started using just a pea size and that has worked just fine. I started using it midway between dental visits , expecting to see this stuff disappear from my teeth, it did not, in fact, I couldn’t see any difference at all. My dentist, before using that cursed device on me told me that it didn’t matter which toothpaste I used, that they were all about the same though she had never heard of this stuff. In this visit I only got a glimmer of hope in that after she finished the job she said that my plaque came off my teeth pretty easy. So since I now had clean teeth I decided to use it some more as it should keep the plaque from forming, right ? Well it did not appear to me to be doing that. The build up in front came back after a few weeks and looked that same over time as it always did, but I decided to keep using it until my most recent visit just to make sure if it would work on me or not because I really wanted it to.. I really didn’t have any hope. To my pleasant surprise, my technician told me she could see very little plaque on my teeth at all accept in the front and it came off very easy. The entire procedure was much much more comfortable than before!!! She said that the front teeth buildup is where the majority of it forms. And so think about it. Not only did this product make these torturous visits much more comfortable but the lack of plaque also means less gum and bone damage!!! Thank you Colgate for making this product, sorry I ever doubted you. I bought 2 tubes today so I will always have extras on hand and I will be getting up a subscription to keep them coming!

The best toothpaste hands down! I’ve been using this for 2weeks now and the difference is already noticeable. My plaque build up is little to none & my teeth are much whiter (active coffee drinker). The toothpaste foams up when you brush allowing it to get inbetween everything and it has a moderate mint flavor that’ll keep your breath fresh for a long time but it will alter your taste just a little while after brushing due to the mint.This has become the only toothpaste I want to use and I love the difference it’s making in my dental hygiene!

I bought this for my wife who got her braces taken off and have yellow marks and different colors and weird looking squares on her teeth where the braces used to be, we tried charcoal toothpaste but it didn’t seem to be doing much so we bought this and the performance is really great! It’s not instant but over time it’s been removing all of the horrible plaque stuff that has been left on from having those braces on for 2 years time! With that said I guarantee this is going to work very well for basic Dental plaque removal and cleaning up dirty teeth in general!

I love this toothpaste! Been using it for about a month now. Have noticed less tarter and plaque on my teeth. I have a hard time flossing and this helps a lot. Also my teeth are definitely whiter. Which is good because I drink coffee. So it helps with coffee stains. This toothpaste is definitely worth the money. I highly recommend it.

I’ve tried this toothpaste several times. It makes my teeth feel very clean, and I think it is very good at whitening. My problem is that I’m now sure I am allergic or extremely sensitive to one or more of the ingredients. Every time, after using it for about a week, my teeth become sensitive and the gums are irritated after brushing, and even further after drinking or eating. I end up in a bad cycle, brushing to make my mouth feel better, but it just gets more irritated and uncomfortable. This is obviously not something that happens to everyone and it doesn’t make the toothpaste bad, but I wanted to add this incase it can be of help to others that may experience similar.I find that I do better with Crest Gum Restore – oddly enough, not Gum Detoxify, so the latter may have similar ingredients to this one.
